I think it is likely that 10.14 will still run 32-bit applications, but it will be the last. There is not currently a 64-bit version, as it will require a complete rewrite, and most of my time is taken up with PCalc these days - DragThing has not brought in much money in the last decade. I have not made a decision yet about a 64-bit version.
I would totally be willing to buy it again, and I'm sure many other users would be too. Considering the many updates we've been given over the years for free, I wouldn't complain about a paid update at all!
Wouldn't think twice about purchasing again. Nothing I've tried comes close to the basic functionality, and that's all I care about. I've spent the last two weeks and have tried probably 20 contenders. TabLauncher comes close but is a memory hog and slow when doing some things. MaxMenus does what I want but is 32 bit. FinderPop is nifty but 32 bit. At present, it'll be XMenu and it is a far cry from DragThing.
As stated before, I am totally down with an update/upgrade charge. I am already paying annual fees on programs/apps I do not use every day (yes, I am looking at you Parallels), it would be somewhat enjoyable paying for one that I really need; DragThing !
I want to join in with a big "ME TOO!!!" I would definitely be willing to pay a premium price for a 64 bit update to DragThing! I've been using DragThing for 12 years and DropDrawers before that, and can't imagine doing without. Over the past few weeks I've tried nearly all the competition and found nothing that comes close.
